Urban Decay Limited Editions

Urban Decay mostly bring out limited edition eyeshadow palettes as this is what they are great at! Some times it will included a lip stick or eyeliner to create a full look.

They have had the wizard of Oz collection- with two different palettes to create the Glinda look or Theodora look.

Pulp Fiction- It came with an eyeshadow palette, lip liner, lipstick, glitter liner and a nail varnish.

They also brought out a vice Limited edition palette

When the film Alice in Wonderland was released again UD brought out an eyeshadow palette with a pop up mirror to give that trippy quality of UD as well as Alice in Wonderland.

Urban Decays limited edition collections are always a great success and sell out within the first couple of days, I think this is down to how well they use social media and create a buzz around a product. They understand how big a youtube community is and realise sending products to beauty gurus before hand will help reach the masses of followers they have. They know how to use pinterest and instagram well, running competitions to win the collections before they are released.
Another benefit I think UD have is they don't regularly churn out limited edition collections each month like mac. So when they do have a limited edition line it is more exciting.
